This file is in Standard MIDI (Type 1) format. Author's Notes: I'm writing a musical about a kid named Willie. He's ten, has no father and his mother is an alcoholic and pretty much leaves Willie to his own devices. When Willie needs company, he goes to his Aunt's home and spends time with her, and his cousins. She has a new baby. The child has been fussy, and Kendra, his Aunt, has decided it was nap time. She picks up the child and sits in her old, scarred, creaky rocking chair. "Is she going to sleep now?" Willie asks. "Yes, Willie," Kendra answers. "She's had a hard day,." she says, smiling. You going to sing to her? Kendra frowned at her nephew. "You know I don't sing too good." "Sure you do. I've heard you. Will you sing the lullaby my mom used to sing when I was little, before she got sick? Please?" "Well, I'll try. Just sit there on the cushion and be quiet." She began to rock, seeming to ponder whether she remembered the song. It had been a long time. Her chair began to creak in rhythm, and she began to sing. Sleep little babe. Close your precious eyes... (There will be a WAV with a vocal in the future). Note: This sequence can be used with non-GM synths by loading it into a sequencer and re-assigning the Program Change and MIDI Channel data to meet the requirements of your equipment. lmc
